APPROVALS

I.S. Certification

All equipment that is supplied with a standard RT168A amplifier unit is I.S. certified when used with and approved safety barrier.

This also includes the remote DP transmitters series 290, 292 & 295!

Equipment classification is EExia IIc T5

Note: Certification becomes void where any alterations to the RT168A are made, this includes:

The drilling of any further holes

Enlarging of any existing holes

Replacement of the supplied cable glands with any alternatives

Alternative cable glands are available which are covered by the certification but these must be fitted during manufacture, these are PG 11.5, PG 13.5 & PG 16.

Note: Removal of the sintered filter to allow external venting where required is permissible

Transmitters have also been independently certified to be in accordance with IEC standards for RFI / EMC performance.
