Tankview for small ships

If you thought  the PSM Tankview is only viable for large ships or cargo systems, it will be a revelation to hear about some of the latest systems supplied.

Continuing the success of partners  MONITROLS a/s in supplying a comprehensive alarm and Tankview monitoring system for the sea trawler “Atlantic Dawn” last year, further systems have been supplied to smaller vessels proving that quality systems can be cost effective for the cost sensitive smaller craft market. Many readers will see that the Atlantic Dawn system features on the new “mini”exhibition system graphics. Incidentally, the entire mini exhibition “ pull up” stand is available on free loan to agents and distributors.

29m Trawlers.

Through our partners Haicang Engineering, a series of 4 trawlers built in China have been supplied with the latest PSM  Multi-Tank data acquisition and display units, giving a state of the art display but at a small craft price. To enable a further cost saving on installation and equipment lower cost series 500 submersible sensors were fitted directly inside the fuel and ballast tanks.   

The last vessel in the series was refined with a Tankview  PC display, fitted at owners request.

 

Tug for M.E.

A harbour service vessel is under construction for operation in the Persian Gulf ports.

The vessel has nearly 30 tanks for various duties and the PSM two wire data bus system and Tankview were an ideal, space saving  choice for a compact vessel.  The Tankview display runs on a marine approved panel pc and screen. Tank level signals are collected at two points (fore & aft ) on a RS485 bus, eliminating complex and costly cable routing.

In our continual effort toward improvement we are planning to implement a number of changes to our Health & Safety policies and working practices during European Week for Safety and Health commencing 15th October in the UK.  Since our flood Christmas 1999 our working environment has been upgraded and modernised considerably which has improved our efficiency. This has given us the ideal opportunity to review many other aspects of our surroundings and daily routines.

The theme for this year's  European Week for Safety and Health is to be "Workplace Accidents".
